Automated builds and deployments with GitHub Actions and Docker, added observability with logging/metrics-first design.

Biography

My career started in the office, where I worked heavily with Excel spreadsheets to keep things moving. What began as building formulas and streamlining reports grew into a fascination with how data could be better organized, shared, and trusted.

That curiosity led me to databases, where I discovered how much I enjoyed designing tables, queries, and automation to replace repetitive manual work. The more I learned, the more I realized I wanted to take this further—so I pursued a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering, giving me the foundation to move from spreadsheets to full-scale data pipelines and applications.

Today, I specialize in building reliable data systems and pragmatic software, with a focus on pipelines, observability, and making data accessible to decision-makers.

Outside of work, I’m grounded by my wife Angie and our two kids. They’re a big part of why I value clarity and sustainability in my work—I want to spend my energy on what matters most, both professionally and personally.
